Clay Shirky on love
This video I got little confused about. I am not sure if it
is because I was not able to completely focus on the person speaking or if it
is just me not understanding what it was about. I understand how he was talking
about how culture clashes are still a thing even in this day and age. Even
though they had experienced engineers, they had to learn to work together and
learn to develop a sense of community and support from within each other. Everyone
has information they can add to lead to great things, you must open up to the
idea that you do not know everything and people are here to create a team and
family dynamic to have success.Let me know if I missed the mark.
I too did not fully understand this video and have several of the same questions that you are bringing up as well Arsenio. from what I got out of it is that we all must collaborate together to really form good ideas and through shared contributions we own the ability to all make one solid idea into a great one. It was also interesting that he brings up the clashes of culture as I think that is a big part of society today.

ReplyDeleteI thought the video was a little confusing as well. What I understood from it was that collaboration is essential in order for a group of individuals to come up with the best ideas possible. In doing so, people can bounce off of peoples ideas while simultaneously gaining different perspectives due to the various cultures. Additionally, it allows for individuals to communicate in a healthy manner with one another. I appreciate how you mentioned that everyone should be open minded as well. I feel as if this is an important step in the process so that everyone can be on the same page.
