Group Collab
This reading is was insightful. I guess although it makes
sense that a group would be more beneficial, we never stop to think about it. A
lot of us think that our way is the best and tend to stay hard headed, but for
those who have an open mind, we see those people thrive and succeed. Now I am
not saying that you should not speak up and voice your opinion. I am simply
saying you never know if your idea could be optimized with the help of another
person or group. We are always looking to grow and succeed, so why not start by
collaborating with a group and bring the entire group up to success?
Arsenio, I found this post on the article to be very insightful and further demonstrate your knowledge of the topic of collaboration. I really enjoy your point of our desire as a people to grow and succeed as individuals but that it is also beneficial as well to make the attempt to succeed as a unit with the idea of collaboration
ReplyDeleteIt’s so true that we immediately think our way is the best way, I personally tend to think this way especially with group projects in school. However, with some group projects I have realized that collaborating with other people can really further my understanding as well as ideas. You made a great point that we can optimize our ideas with the help of another person or people and reading this article on group collaboration reminded me how important and beneficial it can be. Great post!
ReplyDeleteArsenio,
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I agree with your comment that a lot of us tend to think our way is the best and we stay hard headed. Good collaboration deals with everyone participating, having the ability to listen as well as interact and most of all engage the people on your committee or work force who tend to be quiet and just sit back. Chances are they have the best idea but are too afraid of not appearing smart enough or good enough. Remember all ideas are good ideas. While collaborating everything should be on the table.
